SANTA FE, NM, UNITED STATES, September 22, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Edible Communities, the network of more than 75 hyper-local sustainable food-focused publications across the U.S. and Canada, has officially named the winners of its 2026 Best of Edible Awards. The annual awards shine a spotlight on the publishers, writers, photographers and illustrators who document the unique culinary heritage, agricultural traditions and evolving foodways of their home regions.

From coastal fisheries and family farms to independent kitchens and artisanal food businesses, Edible publications bring readers face-to-face with the people who feed our communities. Through authentic storytelling, striking imagery, and season-inspired recipes, these local teams remind us of the profound value of knowing where our food comes from.

This year’s competition evaluated hundreds of submissions representing print features, recipes, visual arts and digital content published throughout 2025. Entries were initially narrowed down through a rigorous peer-review process before being presented to a distinguished panel of industry leaders: acclaimed author Elissa Altman, celebrated writer and journalist Barry Estabrook and influential educator Katherine Miller.
